Blockchain

Just about everything we do involves the creation and movement of data: Hospital bills, Rent, Public transport or the credit card trail.

The blockchain is a new way of storing and moving that data.

What is Blockchain?

Instead of holding data in one place (1) the information is spread over a network (2) All locked together with the help of cryptography.

As the record is seen and verified by everyone on the chain (3) it is impossible to change without everyone knowing about it. Details are kept in multiple locations, so there’s no chance loss, deletion, or corruption – ever. It is called blockchain because the data is then encrypted into virtual ‘blocks’ of information (4) linked together to form a ‘chain’. Each block confirms the exact time when an event takes place and contains a unique code (5) that links it to the blocks before and after it so transactions cannot be altered – literally ‘locked’ in an unbreakable chain.

Now, anyone with access to the blockchain can verify or access the information at any point, and it will never be wrong.

Product Authenticity

Counterfeit products that enter the supply chain are hard to identify by end-users.

We capture serial numbers from the source or create them in our system upon arrival in the UAE.

Track and trace the progress and precise location of a unit

Validate product history at any point

Identify and isolate counterfeit medicines that might have enered the supply chain

Product Authenticity

Currently every participant along the chain of custody of a pharmaceutical product only has visibility of his own part.

We record environmental conditions measured over the entire supply chain, from manufacturer to patient.

Ensure that the efficacy and safety of every item can be accounted for

Pull potentially compromised medicines from circulation including full batch recalls

Ensure more accountability across the entire supply chain
